Garden of Nature, Nepal is famous for trekking and hiking during holidays. It is known for as the country of Himalayas. The might Mount Everest lies in the northern side of the country which is very much popular destination among tourists for trekking and mountaineering. Experienced trekkers are always looking for some better place which is challenging so they would not deny the Everest hiking. For them Everest is once in a lifetime opportunities because it is so challenging and costly too. Around 4000 people from all around the world have tried scaling the might Everest since Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay first stepped in 1953.
Everest Region is well known for trekking specially. Most of the people visit for mountaineering and hiking as well. It is getting lot safer these days going in this region because of better and modern equipment with accurate weather forecasting. In climbing history Mount Everest has its own benchmark. Lots of people from the country and outside the country visit every year for enjoying the Himalayan ranges diverse wildlife and vegetation and experience the culture and tradition of the region. This classic journey starts from and ends in Kathmandu. It is long hiking trail to surrounding villages enjoying the majestic views of mountains and discovering the caves and places full of natural beauties. Terrific glazing glaciers, snow fall around the region will have great impact while hiking around 18100 feet to the summit of Kalapathar.
Hike starts from Lukla through the colorful villages until we reach to Phakding. It is a beautiful place with green fields and villages surrounded by people that ends to Namche Bazaar. Bazaar is popular business and tourist hub of the Everest Region that leads to a day hike to first views of Everest. From there continuous trekking and hiking for next 2 days through the rhododendron forest leads to Phortse Tenga village. Next day we target half day ascent to Pangaboche along scenic contour. Pangboche monastery is the oldest in the Everest region which is worth visiting. Dingboche which is the highest permanent Sherpa village covers challenging and scenic hike extended half-day. Another descends leads to low land and a day hike to remote monastic caves and majestic view of Makalu Mountain which is 5th highest peak. We will then ascent a gentle climb to Pheriche valley along the northwest side of the valley through the alpine forests and green pastures enjoying the amazing views of Tawoche and Cholotse. This ascends past the Khumbu glacier. The next hiking trail leads to Gorak Shep after 3 hours. Depending on the weather condition we will set for the summit of Kala Patar and enjoying the breath taking view of Everest. We can continue hike after the view to Everest Base Camp if it’s possible on same day. It will take around 3-4 hours hike to reach camp. We can easily get back to Gorak Shep in the dark and rest there. Now we descend and try to reach Lobuche after beautiful hike to Base Camp. There are plenty of highlights on the way which we certainly don’t want to miss while we descend. Finally, covering lots of ground and descending continuously we will reach Pheriche where Himalayan Rescue Association clinic is located and provides important facilities for trekkers and hikers. On climbing little distance we eventually reach Deboche which is popular for its long and significant religious history. Continuous descent and depart from Deboche will finally lead to Namche Bazaar with unforgettable panoramic views of famous mountains. Leaving Namche Bazaar leads to Phakding Village from where we can catch plenty of views of great peaks including Lhotse, Everest and Ama Dablam. Lastly, hike to Lukla and rest and enjoy night in a comfortable lodge before we catch flight to Kathmandu.
